Numerous trekking paths pass through and near Chopta, which is well renowned for them. The 9 kilometre hike to Chandrashila summit is one of the more well-known routes. The revered Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva shrine in the world, is located en route.
Chandrashila - The peak above India's Tungnath temple is called Chandrashila. Literally, it denotes "Moon Rock." A little over 3,690 metres above sea level is where it is situated. Views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Mountain, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba peaks, are available from this peak.
Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev On the way from Saari village to Deoria Tal, there is a temple to Nag Devta called Devariya Nag Temple, also known as Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev. When water is poured over the lingam in the temple, it drops down in the shape of a wave that resembles a snake. The temple's entrance faces the Tungnath temple.
