Chikmagalur, known officially as Chikkamagaluru, is a metropolis and the centre of the Chikmagalur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the foothills of the Mullayanagiri peak of the Western Ghats, the city lures tourists from around the state for its melodic and favourable hill station climate, tropical rainforest, and coffee estates. Another renowned attraction that Chikmagalur is known for is its Bababudan Giri ranges. Though it was among the underexplored destinations, the hill station thanks to its picturesque landscapes and greenery has earned a lot of attention from tourists across. The literal meaning of Chikmagalur is ‘Land of the younger daughter.
Kodanda Rama Temple
The temple looks like a private one devoted to lord Vishnu worshipped as Sri path abhishekam Ramar with goddess sitar on his lap in a sitting posture. The utsavar is kodanda ramar. This is a twin temple, the other one standing the Vidarbha sayana Sethuraman temple whose entry is from this very temple.
Jagval Laxmi Narasimha temple
The Lakshminarasimha temple at Javagal, occasionally referred to as Lakshmi Narasimha temple of Javagallu, is a mid-13th century Hindu temple with Hoysala architecture. It is found in Javagal about 20 km northeast of Halebidu and 50 km from Hassan city, Karnataka state, India. This triple sanctum temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha – the man-lion avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Annapurneshwari temple
The Annapoorneshwari Temple is a Hindu temple committed to the goddess Annapoorneshwari (Annapoorna), found at Horanadu, Karnataka, India, 100 km from Chikmagalur in the thick woodlands and valleys of the Western Ghats of Karnataka.
