Somanathpura temple
This temple is also known as Keshav Mandir. This is an ancient Vaishnava temple, which is situated here on the banks of river Kaveri. Situated at a distance of 35 km from Mysore, this temple was built in 1268 by General Somnath of King Narasimha III. This temple is known as one of the three most famous productions of Hausla architecture. The temple is built on a high platform like the rest of the Hausa temples.
Trineshwaraswamy temple
The Trinesvaraswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located in the fort's northeast corner, facing the Palace. This temple was built in the Dravidian style. This ancient temple existed before Raja Wodeyar (1578-1617). Originally, the temple stood on the banks of the Doddakere River. A statue of the sage Trinabindu stands to the left of the Sukhanasi. According to the Sthala Purana, the sage offered penance to Lord Shiva at this location. Shiva appeared to the sage and blessed the Lingam. As a result, the Lingam represents Trinesvara or Trinayanesvara, the three-eyed Shiva.
Nanjangud temple
Nanjangud city was famous from the time of the Ganga and Chola dynasty in the 10th and 11th centuries. Here Bholenath is worshipped by the name of Srikanteshwara.This beautiful temple of Lord Shiva is known as Nanjangud Temple and Shrikanteshwar Temple. It is built in Dravidian style and stands on 147 pillars. It is believed that Lord Shiva resided in this temple. This temple is about a thousand years old. There is a huge idol of Lord Shiva outside. Regarding the Shivling established here, it is believed that it was established by Gautam Rishi.
5.Melkote temple
Melukote is a pilgrimage centre in Pandavapura Taluk of Mandya District. This place is also known as "Thirunarayanapuram". There is a rocky hill in front of the river Kaveri which is called Yadugiri or Yadavgiri. It is about 51 km from Mysore and 133 km from Bangalore.
6.Someshwar temple
It was built in the 13th century by the Wodeyar dynasty. Someshwara Temple served as an important place of worship and celebration for the Wodeyar rulers. The temple has been built in a very royal manner. The temple has three shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Narayana and Goddess Somasundari. The Shiva Linga here is believed to be centuries old. The best time to visit this temple is during Shiva Ratri or Dussehra when the temple is decorated and devotees celebrate these religious Hindu festivals with great enthusiasm here.
