Tirupattur taluk is a taluk in Tiruppur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Tirupathur. It is known as the "Sandalwood Town'' due to the abundant availability of sandalwood trees in the surrounding hills. Tirupattur is a famous destination for trade and commerce. The commodities traded from here include dhals, jaggery, chillies, cotton and other agro products. It also houses flour and rice mills and beedi factories within the town Vaniyambadi.

Arulmigu Brahmapureeswarar temple
As Brahma Worshipped Shiva here, the Lord is named Brahammapureeswara. Mother Goddess is named Brahmanayaki or Brahma Sampath Gouri Lord Vishnu took the form of a Boar and started his quest to find out the foot, but came back and announced his impossibility while Brahma lied and was cursed by Shiva and turned into a swarm and made to meditate here. Here Lord Brahmapureeswarar appears as a self-manifested deity. In the sanctum sanctorum, behind the swayambu murthi Brahmapureeswarar, we can have the darshan of Lord Somaskanda.

Thiruthalinathar temple
This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in a small town called Thiruputhur, near Karaikkudi. This temple is regarded as the 6th of the Tevara Stalams in the Pandya kingdom of Tamil Nadu. The temples Rameswaram and Tiruvadanai are the other Shivastalams nearby. The Tiruttalinathar temple is a grand Shivastalam in Pandya Nadu. Temple is said to be more than 1000 years old. People who cannot visit navagraha sthalam worship yoga bairavar and get the same benefits. In tamil month of karthigai, ashta bairava yagam conducted here produce immense benefit to people who take part in it. This temple is situated at a distance of 70 kms from madurai.
