Gangeshwar Mahadev temple

Dedicated to lord Shiva, this cave temple is located amidst rocks on the seashore of the Arabian sea which washes the Shivling with its water, hence known as Seashore temple. On the entrance you can see idols of lord Ganesha, lord Vishnu and goddess Lakshmi and inside the complex, 5 significant Shivalingas are placed out of which one of the major attractions is Sheshnag protected Shivling. The carving of Sheshnag features the protection of Shivlinga from external hindrance. The 5 Shivlingas symbolise five Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata, depicting different physique or size, the bigger and fatty one is believed to be the symbolic representation of Bhim and rest are significantly about other 4 Pandava brothers.
