Our childhood was filled with tales from Mahabharata and Ramanayan, this scenic city in the state of Uttrakhand is Dehradun. It is believed that the Laksha Grih, the palace of wax, that our favorite Pandavas went to was Dehradun! This ancient Lord Shiva temple in the Dehradun district is famous for an episode from the epic Mahabharata. It is said this is the “Laksha Griha” or the complex made of wax where an attempt was made on the lives of the five Pandava princes.
Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple:- One of the most well-known temples devoted to Shiva is the Tapkeshwar Temple or Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple. It is positioned next to a forest. In a nearby natural cave, the temple's primary shrine is located. Buddha temple is known for its ornate Buddhist architecture and sacred school of Tibetan religion. The Buddha Temple, which is situated in Clement Town, is a tourist place for both domestic and foreign tourists.
Daat Kali Temple- sometimes referred to as "Maa Daat Kali Temple," is a respected temple of worship close to Dehradun. Countless admirers of Goddess Kali travel to the Daat Kali Temple on Shahranpur Rd, which is located 14 kilometers from the center of Dehradun, every year.
Tapovan temple-Tapas (meaning penance) and Vana are two Sanskrit words that combine to create the name of the temple (meaning forest). Significant religious traditions are attached to Tapovan. The chanting of Vedas and rites elevates the sacredness of the stress-free environment.
Chandrabani temple- The deity Chandrabani is worshipped here. As it is believed that the sage Gautama lived nearby, the temple, which is perched amidst the Shivalik hills in lush greenery, is also known locally as Gautama Kunda.
