Mallappuzhassery could be a village situated within the Greater Kozhencherry region near the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, within the Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, India. Its border starts within the middle of the temple grounds running north–south: the eastern part is Mallapuzhassery and also the western part is Edasserimala.

The Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple is one in all the "Divya Desams", the 108 temples of Vishnu revered by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars located near Aranmula, a village in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, South India. Constructed within the Kerala kind of architecture, the temple is glorified within the Divya Prabandha, the first mediaeval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD. It's one amongst the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu, who is worshipped as Parthasarathy.
