The Yamuna River's source and Hinduism's home of the Goddess Yamuna are both located in Yamunotri, also known as Jamnotri. It is situated 150 kilometres (93 miles) north of Uttarkashi, at an elevation of 3,293 metres (10,804 feet), in the Garhwal Himalayas.
Yamunotri Temple is located in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district at a height of 3,291 meters in the western Garhwal Himalayas. A black marble statue of Goddess Yamuna can be found in the temple, which is devoted to the goddess.
Shani Dev temple - Uttarkashi district is home to the Shani Devi Shrine, which is regarded as Shani Dev's first temple. Goddess Yamuna spends the winter in the Shani Dev Temple in Kharsali, which is located 7,000 feet above sea level.
Divya Shila - A holy stone or pillar called Divya Shila, commonly referred to as the "slab of heavenly light," is situated close to Yamunotri and Surya Kund. Before entering the temple grounds at Yamunotri, pilgrims must worship Divya Shila.
Jankichatti and Hanumanchatti- A well-known tourist destination called Jankichatti can be located in the state of Uttrakhand in northern India. It is about three kilometres from Yamunotri to the little town of Janki Chatti, which is known for its numerous hot springs. Whereas, Hanuman Chatti, a well-liked trekking destination is at the intersection of the Yamuna and Hanuman Ganga rivers meeting close.
