Ramayana sites in Jaffna- The significance of Ramayana sites is underrated as it's visited by lakhs of tourists every year
Nallur Kandaswamy temple- The central deity being the form of Murugan Swamy has had religiously huge significance in Tamilian culture for ages, this temple is dedicated to lord Kartikey the son of lord Shiva and Mata Parvati.
Munneswaram Temple- one of the sites dates back to lord Rama's time when lord Shiva saved him from the curse
Manavari Temple - Named Ramalingam as it was erected by Shri Ram
Thirukoneswaram Temple - It's believed that lord Shiva has instructed hermit Agasthyar to build the temple so that Ravana may offer his devotion towards his beloved God Shiva.
Dambulla Cave Temple- It's one of the ancient and best-preserved temples in all Sri Lanka which is also called the Golden Temple.
Royal Botanic Gardens- This is a huge diaspora of biodiversity spread across 4000+ species of plants, herbs, spices, flower gardens, orchids and many more.
Sita Amman Temple and Ashok Vatika - This is now the one and only temple in which Mata Sita resides in the form of a princess. Among all the tours of Ramayana, it's the most visited and renowned temple site in Sri Lanka.
Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple - It's one of the prominent Ramayana sites and is believed to be the place close to Ravana Goda from where lord Hanuman started searching for Mata Sita.
Divurumpola Temple- it's the same place where Mata Sita performed Agni Pariksha to prove her purity and it still has prominent importance in Sri Lanka
Ussangoda National Park Ramayana site - It's said to be the plain place where Ravana used to land and take off his Pushpaka vimana from
Anuradhapura Ancient City - A world heritage site of UNESCO depicting the ancient civilizations and their development over time. Beyond that, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka has been representing the Buddhist wing of Theravada for ages.
Ravana Caves and Waterfalls- the place where Ravana kept Mata Sita after eviction, it is one of the most beautiful sites in Sri Lanka now.
Kataragama Temple- it's believed to be the centre of secularism where all religions are welcomed to worship the deities Kataragama deviyo from Buddhism and Murugan Swamy from Hinduism
Galle Dutch Fort- A UNESCO World Heritage site, that's a Mediterranean wonder of all the times
Sri Anjaneyar Temple- Built in remembrance of lord Hanuman, this temple represents the Panchamuga from Hanumana who has five faces
Buddhist Temple of Kelaniya- It showcases the paintings and artistry of important events from Jataka tales from Buddhism

Day 1 - Sightsee Munneswaram & Manavari Temples- Drive to Anuradhapura (80 km)
- After reaching out to the airport we'll visit Munneswaram temple and Manavari temple in Chilaw.
- After taking blessings from the temple we'll move forward to Anuradhapura
- Check in to a hotel in Anuradhapura and have an overnight stay there, including dinner
Day 2 - Explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura- Transfer to Jaffna (196 km)
- In the morning, we'll check out from the hotel after breakfast and have a visit to the ancient city of Anuradhapura which is already a UNESCO World Heritage site and has immense importance in Ramayana sites
- Past exploration of the city, transfer to Jaffna by AC vehicle with comfortable seating
- After reaching Jaffna, check in to the hotel and have an overnight stay there post-dinner
Day 3 - Sightseeing the city of Jaffna throughout the day
- After having breakfast we'll visit all the temple and cultural sites that traces of Ramayana tour in Sri Lanka
- After exploring all the Ramayana temple/religious sites, we'll see blessings at Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, Naguleswaram Temple, Keerimalai, Nilavarai Kuan (well) and other sites in Jaffna as well
- Later we'll take an overnight stay in the same hotel in Jaffna and have our dinner there
Day 4 - Transfer from Jaffna to Trincomalee (232 km)
- After having breakfast we'll check out from the hotel in Jaffna and drive off to Trincomalee
- Enrouting have a serene visit to Sri Thirukoneswaram Temple (a perfection of ancient architecture with an influence of Tamilian artistry)
- Then we'll move to check in to a hotel in Trincomalee, have dinner and an overnight stay
Day 5 - Sightsee Trincomalee and its other tourist sites
- After morning breakfast we'll explore all the important Ramayana sites of Trincomalee and visit the tourist destinations of the city
- Seek blessings at the Thirukoneswaram Temple of Trincomalee
- Return to the hotel and get a good night's sleep post dinner
Day 6 - Transfer from Trincomalee to Kandy - Explore Kandy (179 km)
- After having breakfast we'll check out from the hotel and slide off to Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka known for its exotic tranquillity
- On the way to Kandy, we will sightsee the Dambulla Cave temple (the golden temple of Sri Lanka) and route visit to the spice gardens of Matale
- After reaching Kandy, pay a visit to the city and enjoy the scenic landscapes around you
- Further, explore the tooth relic temple of Kandy
- In the night have dinner together and have a good night's sleep in the hotel
Day 7 - Kandy tourist attractions - Botanic Gardens visit- Evening show in Kandy
- After having a good breakfast, we'll have a good time exploring the city of Kandy a bit more
- Later in the day, we'll have a visit to the Elephant Orphanage of Pinnawala and then the Royal Botanic Gardens which houses more than 4000 plant species, spice gardens, herbs and medicinal plants, orchids, etc
- Enjoy the evening cultural show at 5:30 pm and take a rest.
- After rejuvenating your evening have dinner at the hotel and take an overnight stay post that
Day 8 - Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - Ramboda Temple visit (76 km)
- After a morning breakfast, we'll drive off to Nuwara Eliya
- Take a route visit to Sri Bhakta Hanuman temple in Ramboda, Nuwara Eliya and take blessings of lord Hanuman
- After darshan, explore the city of Nuwara Eliya
- Check in to the hotel there and have an overnight stay including dinner
Day 9 - Seek blessings at Sita Amman Temple in Nuwara Eliya - route Ashoka Vatika and Ravana Caves & waterfalls - Transfer to Kataragama (142 km)
- In the morning seek blessings at Sita Amman temple and Ashok Vatika or Hakgala Botanic Gardens (Nuwara Eliya) post breakfast and check out from the hotel
- Drive to Kataragama and visit Divurumpola Temple on the way
- Enrouting towards Kataragama will also visit Ravana caves and Ravana waterfalls and relax for a while amid the natural beauty of hilly and landscaping regions
- Reach out to Kataragama and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay including dinner
Day 10 - Kataragama Temple-Ussangoda National Park- Galle Dutch Fort and Sanjeevani mountains - Drive off to Colombo (256 km)
- After having breakfast we'll pay a visit to the Kataragama temple which is a prominent tourist destination in Sri Lanka
- Drive off to Colombo and route the way to the capital city to explore the Ussangoda National Park Ramayana site
- Sightsee the Rumassala Sanjeevani mountains of Galle which have significance from Ramayana
- Reach out to the Dutch fort of Galle (UNESCO World Heritage site) and explore the beauty of Portuguese architecture replication
- After route visits, reach out to Colombo and check in to a hotel and stay overnight post dinner there
Day 11 - Colombo city tour- Anjaneyar Temple- Kelaniya Buddhist Temple- Tour termination- Departure from Colombo
- After breakfast, we'll seek blessings at the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple of Colombo, the place where lord Hanuman resides in the form of the Panchamuga (five-facing) deity
- Take a city tour throughout Colombo and relish the capital city in its cultural and religious forms
- Pay a visit to the Buddhist Temple or Vibhishana Temple in Kelaniya which dates back to the civilizational periods of Buddhism
- Later we'll reach Colombo airport and the tour ends here
- Departure and have a safe journey ahead to home
