Uttrakhand abodes of some indescribable places, some of which include Haridwar and Rishikesh. Haridwar is known as the land from where the Chardham yatra begins with and is one of the holiest place in the whole country whereas Rishikesh is known as the Yoga Capital of the world. Haridwar translates to "The Gateway to Lord Vishnu". Both these cities pass through the sacred river Ganges which make a place for serene holy spots. Chandi Devi Temple- The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi, who sits atop the 'Neel Parvat' on the eastern bank of the river Ganges. Lakshman Jhula - The 137 meters (450 feet) long iron suspension bridge on Ganges River built in 1939 by the British at the spot where Lakshman (Lord Rama’s brother) crossed Ganges river on a jute rope. Along with these, there is indefinite memories and places in this Paradise.
