Shaktipeeth are the holy places of worship dedicated to Sati or Shakti. According to the scriptures there are around 51 Shakti Peeth. And of the Shakti Peeth is in Jalandhar Punjab which is Tripurmalini temple and Sati left breast fall there. Here Sati is called Tripurmalini and Lord Shiva is called Bhisan. The city of Jalandhar is located at Hawrah-Amritsar main line of Indian railways. Different sages like Vashishtha, Vyasa, Manu, Jamdagni, Parshuram etc., and also worship Adhya Shakti here, in the form of Tripura Malini. There is also a temple of Mata Kali beside the main temple. Recently a structure resembling the Amarnath Cave Temple is also added in the complex. A large number of devotees mainly visit Tripurmalini Shaktipeeth on Sundays or Tuesdays. And people also belive that one hwo dies here at Tripuramalini goes in heaven directly. Here Goddess is in the form of Shakti. Worshipping here at Tripurmalini and the other Shaktipeeth is considered extremely auspicious.
